TJ Heyman founded Woodbourne in 2000 and is currently the Chief Investment Officer of the firm.
During his 30+ year career in real estate, TJ has acquired, managed, repositioned, and developed over 40,000 multi-residential units in the United States and Canada. TJ began his career at Bain and Company in 1981. He has been involved in real estate private equity through firms such as Piedmont Realty Advisors and Trammell Crow Ventures since the late 1980s.
TJ began buying and building mobile home parks and acquiring dealerships in the early 1990s. He was the original founder of HomesUSA, which went public on the NYSE in 1997 as the largest independent retailer of manufactured housing in the United States.
TJ managed a global real estate securities hedge fund for eight years with offices in London, Hong Kong, and Colorado before forming Woodbourne’s first Canadian real estate vehicle in 2007.
TJ received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics with Distinction from Stanford University.
