Jake Herman joined Woodbourne in 2007 and co-founded the firm’s real estate private equity arm in Canada.

Prior to joining Woodbourne, Jake was Managing Director of Real Estate Investment Banking at Desjardins Securities. He was previously Head of the Real Estate Investment Banking group and Co-Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at HSBC Securities Canada. During his career in investment banking, Jake raised billions of dollars of equity capital for Canadian public real estate operators and advised on numerous high profile advisory mandates.

Jake previously worked in investment banking at Scotia Capital and Gordon Capital. He is a fourth-generation real estate professional, beginning his career working for Citcom Corporation and Viking Rideau Corporation.

Jake is a Director Emeritus of the SickKids Foundation.

Jake received a BCom (Honours) in Finance from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia and is CFA Charterholder.
